Summer is here! The Summer season is my husband, and I's favorite time of the year to go on dates.
I'm telling you all there is nothing like a summer date. Valentine's Day may fall in the middle of winter, but summer is the true season of love. That's because the days are longer, the weather is warmer, and there are plenty of things to do outside—all of which results in endless opportunities for fun summer dates. Here is a list of our favorite summer date ideas, including some perfect for sunny days and hot summer nights. These date ideas are perfect for any relationship stage, whether you are going on your first date or have been dating for years. We love the occasional cuddling while watching a movie on Netflix or eating at our favorite restaurant. However, switching it up helps keep the spark alive and brings excitement.
Here is a list of our top 5 Summer date ideas:
Catch an Outdoor Movie: Many local parks and community centers play outdoor movies in the summer. Many cities still have drive-in theaters as well. If you are looking for something more intimate, go on Amazon and order an inflatable movie screen and projector, grab a blanket, and set up camp right in your backyard.

Go for a Morning Hike:
Nothing is more peaceful than an early morning hike. On your way to your morning hike, stop and grab a cup of coffee or tea, and head to your nearest trail. My husband and I prefer to find a hiking trail close to the water for a more "scenic" look to stop and take pictures. You'll have the opportunity to see some beautiful sites while encouraging each other.
Best time to go: Early Morning Date
Take a Road Trip:
Summer is the perfect time to get away. You don't have to travel far to feel like you're on vacation. Drive to a new-to-you nearby town and explore its museums, historic sites, shops, and popular local restaurants. If you can, rent a hotel room or Airbnb and make a weekend of it.
Best time to go: Weekend getaway
Have a Picnic:
We love going on a picnic! Consider the value of a quiet event, like a picnic at your local park. Not only are picnic dates fun, but they're also affordable, making them a cute summer date idea for any budget. The Date Box Summer Box has everything needed to enjoy the perfect picnic!
Best time to go: Day Date
Go to a Baseball Game:
I'm not a big sports fan. However, nothing can beat eating a ballpark hotdog and drinking a cold beverage at an outdoor sporting event in the summer. The best thing about baseball game dates, there is never a "bad "seat in the house. It's such a laid-back, relaxing event. It's also a budget-friendly date. Tickets can be as low as $12 for some games!
