To make self-care a priority, we first have to understand what it is, right? Self-care is anything you do to take care of yourself to stay physically, mentally, and emotionally well.
I’m obsessed with Self-Care, and over the years, I have learned that Self-Care comes in many forms. Doing things that I enjoy, like cooking, spa days, reading, watching a movie, or even taking a hot bath, is a form of Self-Care for myself.
I love going on dates with my Husband. However, I also love going on dates with myself. That is why I created The Date Box, Self-Care Box! Like The Date Box, you will receive a new Self-Care box delivered to your front door every month. These boxes will be filled with high-quality items to help you achieve the best self-care routine.
Here are 3 Ways You Can Start a Self-Care Routine:
· Grab a Journal, and write down things that make you happy and why they make you happy. (No Journal, don’t worry, The Date Box has you cover you! Hint: hint one of our goodies this month!)
· Pick at least four days a month for a Self-Care Day. The goal is to make it a whole day. However, I know that can be a challenge for some. But if possible, dedicate a few hours to your selected Self-Care Day.
· Set realistic goals. To create a self-care routine, create realistic goals that are flexible enough to fit your schedule and adjust them to match what works best for you. Nothing is more stressful than having a goal and not being able to accomplish the goal; this creates anxiety and a sense of failure, which is the opposite of Self-Care.
